Music is locked up – we’re here to set it free!
Music is an important part of our culture, education, and humanity. The stress and economics of the rat race can dampen our spirit and cultural self-expression. Free Music Toronto is our way of unlocking the music in all of us by bringing together musicians and artists from across the GTA to perform live and take the time to pass along their skills to the next generation of musicians – all for FREE!
Our debut event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 2nd and 3rd, 2010, at Top Foods field in Scarborough. There will be live bands all day Saturday, from 11am-9pm, and from 11am-5pm on Sunday. During both days, the bands will be giving free music lessons to kids (of all ages) from the hours of 11am-5pm.
There will also be BBQ, drinks, face painting, soccer, frisbee, and other family oriented activities.
